The light we dreamed of

The story of VELVET begins in Barcelona in 2008 when two young cinematographers, Javier Vaderrama and Toni Hernandez, decided to create the luminaires with which they already dreamed at the film school where they met: robust, autonomous, versatile and lightweight luminaires with almost instant color temperature variation and green-magenta white point adjustment. 

Mission Impossible, Star Wars Episode VII, Trainspotting 2, James Bond Specter, Narcos… are only some of the movies featuring VELVETs lights.

Fifteen years later, VELVET is present in film and TV Studios of more than 50 countries around the world and the story continues developing new lighting solutions.

VELVET designs and manufactures 100% of its quality product range in its factory in Barcelona, where started its own LED lighting revolution with a wide portfolio of efficient luminaires.

And this story continues.
